Abstract. Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract are often accompanied by skin and mucous membrane changes, which in several cases can serve as the first clinical indicators of the underlying disease. The aim of this work is to summarize the existing literature on the relationship between gastrointestinal disorders and their cutaneous-mucosal manifestations, and to provide a systematic review of the most common pathological conditions affecting both the digestive system and the skin or mucous membranes. Key examples of intestinal diseases that demonstrate a clear correlation between internal processes and external symptoms are analyzed, highlighting the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in diagnosis and treatment.
Key words: gastrointestinal diseases, dermatoses
