Abstract. E-healthcare is an innovative approach aimed at increasing efficiency, equity, quality of medical services and health knowledge and education. The aim of the present study was to investigate and analyze satisfaction with the performance of the National Health Information System. The object of the study are physicians and health care specialists working in the outpatient medical practice. The sociological survey was conducted in the period 01/12/2023-30/01/2024 in two diagnostic-advisory centers in Sofia. It involved 138 respondents, including physicians and health care professionals working in primary outpatient medical care. Statistical data processing and graphical presentation of results were processed and made using MS Excel 2017. Results and conclusions: The survey shows overall satisfaction of the respondents with the introduced digitization in healthcare. A significant proportion of them evaluate positively the easier access to the patient’s medical data, the availability of an electronic health record and the possibility to work with other specialists in real time. The most common problems faced by medical professionals are lengthening the time for electronic patient care, lack of or insufficient training time to work with the system, the need for technological time to load electronic documents, the presence of outdated equipment, the possibility of admitting errors when filling in the data in the electronic document, as well as the lack of control over the software.

Key words: E-healthcare, efficiency, satisfaction
