Abstract. Introduction. Small intestinal stromal tumors are a type of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) which have an unclear clinical manifestation in the initial stage. Surgical treatment in this disease remains the only method of treatment for non-metastatic tumors. The laparoscopic approach has proven advantages in terms of recovery of intestinal motility, reduced blood loss, and shorter hospital stay. Clinical case. In a 45-year-old woman with anemic syndrome, computed axial tomography of the abdomen with contrast enhancement was performed. A tumor formation in the area of the jejunum measuring 3 cm/d, accumulating contrast material, was found. The differential diagnosis includes: neuroendocrine and gastrointestinal tumor. The patient underwent a laparoscopic partial resection of the jejunum with a three-trocar approach. An intracorporeal anastomosis was performed in order the intestinal passage to be restored. No intraoperative and postoperative complications were observed. Conclusion. Mini-invasive treatment for gastro-intestinal tumors of the small intestine with intracorporeal anastomosis improves the postoperative period including rapid recovery of the passage, early nutrition, minimal pain and better aesthetic results.
