Every year, research institutions, NGOs, intergovernmental and governmental organizations, think tanks, research agencies, governments, municipalities, and policy organizations worldwide publish research worth tens of billions of dollars in the form of reports, analyses, studies, white papers, national or regional development strategies, datasets, blogs, podcasts, and other materials—many of them peer-reviewed by experts. These materials often lack metadata and identification numbers, which until recently made them difficult to cite and insufficiently used.
Policy Commons indexes more than 35 million full-text documents from over 48,000 organizations, collecting and permanently preserving these important resources. More than 1,700 new documents are added every hour.
