Abstract. The risk of developing cancer in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus is increased. In recent decades, specific malignant diseases affecting those patients have been identified. The incidence of non-Hodgkin’s and Hodgkin’s lymphoma, as well as some solid tumors such as lung, breast, thyroid, bladder, vulva and liver cancers, is increased. The risk of developing breast, prostate cancer and skin melanoma is lower than that in the general population.

Key words: systemic lupus erythematosus, lymphoma, solid tumors
