Abstract. Infantile hemangioma is the most common benign vascular tumor in childhood. Historically, its diagnosis for patients, especially in early childhood, has been associated with negative psychological and somatic consequences and controversial and difficult treatment with local and systemic corticosteroids, cytostatics, interferon, laser therapy, etc. After the discovery of Dr. Christine Labrese in 2008 on the effect of oral Propranolol on the proliferation of infantile hemangiomas a new era in their treatment started. After 2014, treatment with oral Propranolol is the only approved therapeutic method and, to date, the most effective in the proliferative phase of the disease. Dose titration of oral propranolol can be done in outpatient and inpatient settings. We present several cases with different localization of infantile hemangioma, a very good response to treatment and monitoring of therapy in outpatient settings.
Key words: infantile hemangioma, systemic treatment, рropranolol
