Abstract. Dentigerous (folliculars) cysts (DC) arise in the area of the tooth germ, they develop between the inner and outer enamel layers of the epithelium. DCs manifest themselves in two forms depending on the presence or absence of a tooth in them – toothbearing, which are about 95%, and tooth-free (primordial). They are second in frequency after radicular in the group of odontogenic cysts and rarely recur. They are found to a high degree in children around the lower premolars and upper canines, and in adults – around the lower wisdom teeth. They develop more often in the lower than in the upper jaw. The treatment of DCs is with surgical-conservative and surgical methods. We present two of our more interesting cases of patients with DC treated with different ap-proaches, and the results of the treatment.
