Fast-track rehabilitation after total hip arthroplasty in patients younger than 60 years

Abstract. The functional results after total hip arthroplasty and the patients return to usual activities are increasingly important indicators of surgical success. The results depend on the quality of the postoperative rehabilitation, as well as on the patient participation in it. The goal of rehabilitation is to improve function of the hip joint and mobility of the patient as well as to enable a quick return to usual activities. Fast-track rehabilitation plan we use in this study loads to early mobilization of the patient, rapid functional recovery, quick return to usual activities and lower risk of complications and rehospitalization.
