Abstract. In outpatient pulmonology practice, in addition to “trivial” cases of infectious respiratory diseases and bronchial obstruction, there are clinical findings related to rare pathology requiring an interdisciplinary approach. We present two clinical cases, in which surgical treatment definitively decided the prognosis of our patients: a case of congenital bronchogenic cyst, diagnosed due to recurrent manifestations of bronchial obstruction and a diagnosis of bronchial asthma in a two-year-old child; and the second case of recurrent pneumonia and established benign angiofibroma of the lung. The cases are presented as diagnostic difficulties and rare pathology, which should be considered in a differential diagnostic plan.
Key words: bronchogenic cyst, angiofibroma, childhood
