Technology in Support of Nursing Care for the Elderly at Home

Abstract. Aging is a natural part of human life, but it presents various challenges in caring for the elderly at home. The world‘s population continues to age, demanding urgent action to fi nd effi cient care solutions for the elderly. Technological advancements have brought new support options for providing care to the elderly at home. Aim: to explore the role of technology in home care for elderly individuals to ensure their safety and improve their quality of life. Data from literature sources and websites providing information on technology in elderly care have been used. Conclusion: The integration of technology in home care for the elderly has transformed traditional care methods. From telehealth solutions enabling remote medical consultations to sophisticated fall detection systems preventing injuries, technology has become a trusted ally in meeting the unique needs of older individuals.
