Abstract. The study aim is to explore and analyze the opinions of students of the specialty “Nursing” regarding the satisfaction and ability to master manipulative skills and clinical thinking for care of patients with difficult-to-heal wounds after conducting simulation training. Pedagogical methods were used, and a demonstration and training of students on an advanced wound simulator and training models for it was conducted. Algorithms for providing care for patients with difficult-to-heal wounds were applied and emphasis was put on the place of application of modern wound dressings on patients. The training also included solving clinical cases, situational learning tasks and role-playing games, approaching real clinical practice as much as possible. Documentary, sociological and statistical methods were also used. The analysis of the data shows that there is a need for simulation training with modern dressings for the treatment of difficult-to-heal wounds. The conducted pedagogical experiment leads to an increase in both student satisfaction and their theoretical and practical training. Simulation training on the topic also increases the student ability to perform manipulative and clinical skills for applying care to patients with difficult-to-heal wounds.
