Abstract. Introduction: Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) pose a serious challenge to modern healthcare systems due to their chronic nature, high risk of complications, and high healthcare costs. Against this backdrop, the involvement of nurses in the prevention of these socially significant diseases is both desirable and necessary. The aim of this study is to analyze and synthesize nursing interventions applicable to the prevention of CVD. A standardized review methodology was used in the study [Arksey and O’Malley protocol and PRISMA ScR (2018)]. The Medline (PubMed), Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect databases were used. Forty-six scientific publications were selected for analysis and discussion. The articles were analyzed based on the main points concerning different nursing interventions for the prevention of CVD. The results were divided into three thematic areas: programs involving or led by nurses; community-based interventions; and the use of digital technologies for CVD management. Conclusion: The role of nurses in the three levels of CVD prevention is key to achieving success in the fight against these diseases.

Key words: nursing activities, prevention, cardiovascular diseases
