Management styles and their impact on the staff satisfaction

Abstract. Leadership and management styles in health care have been analyzed for decades with a focus on their infl uence on the behavior, motivation, recruitment and retention of medical personnel. Scholars continue to examine them to determine why leadership styles and actions have positive or negative eff ects on the quality of care and performance of health care professionals in health care today. The issue this study addresses is the relationship between leadership style and the impact it has on the nurse job satisfaction and retention within a healthcare organization.
