Factors related to lifestyle and their impact on women reproductive health

Abstract. Lifestyle is important for women’s health. Smoking, alcohol abuse, drug use, unhealthy diet, and lack of physical activity have adverse effects on the women general and reproductive health. Promoting a healthy lifestyle during reproductive age is important for the health of women, their children, and the entire nation. Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate and analyze the influence of some behavioral risk factors related to women’s lifestyle on their reproductive health. Material and Methods: A survey of 375 women of reproductive age (15-49 years) has been conducted. The results show that 27.2% of respondents smoke; 10.4% of women report daily alcohol consumption; women with higher education are of the opinion that the modern woman has enough time for physical activity. Conclusion: There is a need for better awareness regarding the risk factors related to women’s lifestyles and their negative impact on women’s reproductive health. The deficiencies in women’s health education that have been identified are accessible for prevention and can be prevented. The study is a part of a dissertation.
