Abstract. Introduction: Healthcare is a complex system that includes activities related to management, financing, and provision of health services, aiming to improve the health status of the population under conditions of limited financial resources. The aim of the current study was to analyze the necessity and feasibility of establishing an independent nursing practice in Bratsigovo region. Material and methods: A survey was conducted between October and December 2023 among 255 individuals residing in the area of Bratsigovo. Descriptive statistics was utilized to analyze the data, along with graphical methods to visualize the results. Results: The average age of the surveyed individuals is 60 ± 12.82 years. The results indicate that a significant portion of the respondents are dissatisfied with the medical care provided in the area (totaling 64%; n = 163). According to 56% (n = 143) of the participants in the study, there is an insufficient medical staff in the city. 80% (n = 204) supports the idea of establishing a new independent nursing practice in Bratsigovo and its surrounding area. Conclusion: Establishing an independent nursing practice focused on offering a wide range of medical services permitted by healthcare legislation will improve access to healthcare for the residents. The target market will encompass not only the working, studying, and residing population of the Bratsigovo area but also the numerous tourists and villa owners during the summer season.
