Abstract. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis is a systemic vasculitis that affects small vessels and can involve various organs, most commonly the upper respiratory tract, lungs, and kidneys. The clinical presentation is diverse and often includes nonspecific symptoms such as chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, otitis, cough, and shortness of breath, which can be misinterpreted as manifestations of another illness. This may delay the correct diagnosis, which is critical because the disease has a progressive course and, if untreated, can lead to severe complications. Timely diagnosis, based on clinical suspicion, serological tests (c-ANCA), imaging, and histological confirmation, is essential for initiating prompt treatment. High clinical suspicion in patients with unexplained, persistent symptoms is key to early detection of the disease and improving prognosis.

Key words: granulomatosis with polyangiitis, symptoms, timely diagnosis
