Abstract. Introduction. There are several conditions where breastfeeding is not enough and babies need formula. However, some babies may have problems such as cow’s milk allergy (CMA), which can manifest as malabsorption. Malabsorption can affect the absorption of all nutrients or specific nutrients. It can result in a child growing up with malnutrition, which can cause permanent physical and cognitive limitations and even increase the risk of death. Objectives. To determine the best diet for infants with CMA who have mild to moderate allergic symptoms and malabsorption. Method. The literature was searched using PubMed and Google Scholar. The key words used were baby, child, infant, hydrolyzed whey formula, Nutribaby Royal Pepti, Nutrilon Pepti, allergy, and malabsorption. Articles were selected using the defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. They were then critically appraised by the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine using relevant criteria. Results. Four relevant and valid articles were included. All articles that are RCT studies show a beneficial effect of extensive hydrolyzed whey formulas (EHWF) in controlling mild to moderate allergies such as skin, respiration, and gastrointestinal symptoms No articles were found that assesses the effect of EHWF on malabsorption. Conclusion. The current evidence provides sufficient evidence to ensure that the use of EHWF such as Nutribaby Royal Pepti is the best choice in children with CMA when breastfeeding is not sufficient.

Key words: baby, malabsorption, Nutribaby Royal Pepti, Nutri Pepti, hydrolyzed whey formula
