Abstract. We present a clinical case concerning a 31-year-old female patient with two previous spontaneous abortions at the 6th gestational week. After the second failed pregnancy, extensive research was done to determine the cause of the early miscarriage. The patient turns out to be a carrier of multiple genetic thrombophilic factors. Severe vitamin D-25(OH) deficiency was diagnosed. High levels of homocysteine are also found. Adequate treatment is applied with a positive effect.
Key words: spontaneous abortion, pregnancy, thrombophilia, gene mutation
