A comparison between the different dissection techniques and their application in autopsy practice

Abstract. The autopsy is one of the main examination methods in medicine, without which it would be impossible to establish the correlation between clinical data and the cause of death. This review presents the different stages of the post-mortem examination and the techniques used in each one of them. A comparison between the methodology and their application has been made. Mastering the variations of dissection techniques is key, as it allows for a more precise examination and therefore determination of the cause of death.
