Renewed National License for Web of Science and Access to ProQuest Central Premium

The national subscription to Web of Science in Bulgaria, funded by the Ministry of Education and Science, has been renewed for the period 2026–2028, ensuring continued access for Bulgarian universities and research institutions to key scientific resources, including:

• Web of Science – one of the world’s leading bibliographic and citation databases and a research platform by Clarivate, indexing high-quality scholarly literature across the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. It covers over 275 million records, including 34,950 journals, 6.2 million dissertations and theses, 3 billion cited references, and more.
• AI Research Assistant – a generative AI tool that supports researchers in discovering, analyzing, and summarizing scholarly literature within the Web of Science Core Collection. It provides contextual answers, thematic overviews, and guidance to facilitate the research process.
• InCites Benchmarking & Analytics– an analytical tool for evaluating research performance, using Web of Science data to analyze productivity, impact, and research collaborations.
• *New*: ProQuest Central Premium  (PQCP) – a platform offering thousands of full-text scholarly journals across multiple disciplines, including medicine, healthcare, and public health. PQCP brings together 47 specialized databases and indexes more than 33,000 journals, along with a wide range of other academic publications. Some of the specialized collections of interest to students and faculty at Medical University – Sofia include:
  • Health & Medical Collection
  • Healthcare Administration Database 
  • Nursing & Allied Health Database
  • Psychology Collection
  • Public Health Database   
  • Sports Medicine & Education Index ‎(1970 – current)  

To find the resources you need across all these collections, as well as the entire PQCP content, you can use the unified ProQuest Central search platform at https://www.proquest.com or access it via the library’s online resources catalog. Full-text access is available directly through the Medical University – Sofia network, without the need for additional login credentials. For remote access outside the university network, please submit a completed access request form.
