New Modern Library Shelving Units in Reading Hall 1
We are pleased to announce that new, modern modular library shelving units have been installed in Reading Room 1 at the Central Medical Library. The new equipment significantly improves the organization of the reference collection and enhances the overall comfort of the reading room. It combines contemporary design with convenience and better accessibility to the most frequently used books and journals. For us, this upgrade is a long-awaited and exceptionally valuable pre-holiday gift.
This is yet another improvement implemented in the library during the current year, carried out with care for our readers. Earlier in 2025, we successfully completed the planned renovation of the corridors and the reading hall itself, as part of a series of annual building upgrades we’ve been implementing consistently over the past four years.
The Library’s management and staff extend their special thanks to the Faculty of Medicine of MU–Sofia for the financial support that made the purchase of the new equipment possible. We are also sincerely grateful to our regular readers and friends, who enthusiastically took part in transporting and arranging the books:
- Aleksandar Sokolov – 4th-year student, Faculty of Medicine
- Danislav Lambev – 6th-year student, Faculty of Medicine
- Erik Künstler – 4th-year student, Faculty of Medicine
- Kaloyan Kolev – 5th-year student, Faculty of Medicine
- Miroslav Ivanov – 3rd-year student, Faculty of Medicine
- Tsvetomir Kirilov – 6th-year student, Faculty of Medicine
We will continue to work diligently to create a modern, comfortable, and welcoming library environment, relying on the support of the entire university community.
