Abstract. Breast cancer is the most common oncological disease in women. It is highly heterogeneous in relation to morphology, hormone receptor expression, invasiveness, mestastatic potential, clinical behavior and treatment response. Nursing care for patients with mammary tumors has a leading place and is closely related with the activity of medical specialists in the field. Nursing care is directed to overcoming the physical, functional, emotional and psychosocial changes in the patients, which in turn lead to a drastic change in the patient’ quality of life.
