Infantile masturbation –recent data and possible solutions

Abstract. Child masturbation is a subject of study in pediatric psychology and psychiatry, but it is actually an interdisciplinary problem and can often be referred to pediatricians and general practitioners for diagnosis and advice on how to deal with the problem. In this publication, the main diagnostic approaches and therapeutic strategies in childhood masturbation, distinguishing the norm from the pathology in children, are discussed.
