Abstract. The scientific paper investigates the role of fungal infections in sinus diseases. It analyzes various types of fungal rhinosinusitis, including allergic fungal rhi-nosinusitis and invasive forms. The impact of different fungal pathogens, such as Aspergillus and Mucor, on the sinuses and their treatment is discussed. The paper focuses on the differences between non-invasive and invasive forms, as well as diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Particular attention is given to the diagnosis and management of allergic fungal rhinosinusitis, characterized by eosinophilic mucin and the presence of fungi in nasal mucus. Finally, it underscores the need for further research for a better understanding of the pathogenesis of fungal sinus diseases.
