Abstract. Nursing education has moved from a hospital-based learning model to a university-based learning model, and this transformation aims to provide students with scientifi c knowledge of nursing care and apply it in health care settings through clinical practice. The study conducted among 85 students of the nursing specialty from the Public Health Service at the University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” on the factors influencing clinical practice shows that clinical practice is vitally important and is the backbone of nursing education as it transforms theoretical knowledge into practice. Establishing these factors for the conduct of clinical practice are of particular importance for taking appropriate actions and are of crucial importance for the quality implementation of health care in medical institutions.
