Abstract. Chronic back pain is one of the most common and socially significant health conditions, leading to reduced quality of life, limited physical activity, and economic losses. This study analyzes the multifactorial causes of chronic pain, including biomechanical, psychosocial, and occupational aspects. Additionally, it evaluates the effectiveness of various therapeutic interventions such as multidisciplinary rehabilitation, cognitive-behavioral therapy, ergonomic workplace modifications, and physical activity. The data indicate that social support, an individualized approach, and prevention through regular movement are key factors in improving quality of life. By analyzing international epidemiological studies, the research emphasizes the necessity of personalized health policies and interventions to mitigate the negative impact of chronic pain on patients’ daily lives. Chronic back pain remains a challenge for both medical practice and public health. This study highlights the importance of a comprehensive treatment approach that includes not only medical but also social and behavioral interventions. Effective rehabilitation programs, regular physical activity, and social support significantly improve the patient functional status and overall well-being. The data suggest that preventive measures, such as lifestyle changes and workplace adaptations, can reduce the frequency and severity of pain conditions. Information was gathered through a systematic review of scientific literature from the PubMed, Medline, and Google Scholar databases.
