Our journals

The journals published by the Central Medical Library are known to several generations of Bulgarian doctors. They are multidisciplinary or specialized, scientific, peer-reviewed, intended for publication of original works – articles, case reports, reviews, and various materials in thematic sections, reports from scientific forums, consensus of scientific medical societies, etc.

The preparation of the journals, including the organization of the review and revision of submitted articles, language and bibliographic editing, formatting, proofreading and printing, as well as the distribution by subscription, is carried out by the „Scientific Medical Information“ Department of the Central Medical Library.

Most of our journals are indexed in international databases, including Acta Medica Bulgarica – the official journal of the Medical university – Sofia, which is open-access and available to read online by Sciendo.  

Discontinued journals

We also provide pre-print services (language and bibliographic editing; formatting; proofreading) of the journals of several Bulgarian scientific medical societies and associations.

We welcome all types of articles and author contributions from across Bulgaria and worldwide. However, priority is given to clinical cases and original studies, as well as researchers from the Medical University – Sofia, editors, peer reviewers and subscribers.

We cannot be held accountable for authors’ opinions and statements or the accuracy and the sources of data they refer to.

Authors retain all rights on their publications, except the rights of publication and commercial use.
