Key responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of and effectively utilizes the library’s collections to ensure the timely and competent fulfillment of requested orders.
  • Guides and advises readers in searching the catalogues (traditional and automated), available databases and other electronic resources.
  • Participates in arranging of the collection in reading rooms, book storage halls, etc.
  • Processes books and periodicals using the automated library system.
  • Participates in the collections’ inventory processes.
  • Maintains daily library statistics.
  • Suggests new titles for acquisition according to readers’ requests.
  • Works in shifts (7:50 – 16:20 and 10:40 – 19:10), according to opening hours and staff schedules; works on Saturdays every several weeks.

Requirements and necessary skills:

  • Responsible, organized and communicative personality;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Able to work with MS Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive);
  • Bachelor degree in Library & Information Services or other HE degree in combination with a library professional qualification;
  • Professional experience – min. 1 year work experience as a librarian or in customer services.
  • Bulgarian at C1+ level, English at A2+ level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in conducting literаture monitoring based on articles from Bulgarian periodical publications received in the library collection;
  • Identify and describe the key terms mentioned in the articles, according to a predefined list, including those related to medicinal products;
  • Provide consultation to librarians in the processes of cataloguing, indexing, and subject classification of articles, books, and other literature.

Requirements necessary skills:

  • Higher education in one or more of the following professional fields: Pharmacy / Medicine / Dental Medicine;
  • A responsible, well-organized, and communicative individual;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Proficiency in working with MS Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive);
  • English language proficiency at A2+ level.
